ARROW
The Adolescent Risk Reduction and Resilient Outcomes Work-Plan (ARROW) is a structured risk management and intervention planning tool for adolescents. Developed as a companion to the Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth (SAVRY), one of the most widely used adolescent violence risk assessment tools worldwide, the ARROW helps practitioners translate risk assessment findings into evidence-based intervention strategies.
The ARROW was created by Drs. Jodi Viljoen, Etta Brodersen, Catherine Shaffer, Nicole Muir, and the ARROW Advisory Board. Currently, the ARROW is being used in British Columbia with thousands of adolescents each year who are involved in general, violent, or sexual offending.
At this time, the ARROW remains in the early stages of implementation and has not yet undergone comprehensive evaluation. An updated edition of the ARROW Guide is currently in development. As such, the ARROW is not yet widely available.
